History of Autumn Art Workshop
The Autumn Art Workshop had long been the dream of professional artist Tom Talbot, along with Nina Hull Miller who shared his vision. They created an opportunity where amateur artists could work under the instruction of professional artists in a setting that had long inspired Talbot, the Halsey National Forest. With the support of the Lexington Painting Club and Thedford Art Guild, the first session of the Autumn Art Workshop was held September 12-15, 1968.
Through the years modifications have been made, but the desire to bring artists together, in an effort to create an affordable inspiring artistic experience under the tutelage of professional artists remains.
